The former Kaduna Central Senator from 2015 till 2019 has been a critic of the current administration on different issues about how the country is run and has criticised many inputs from the APC led administration.
He was once a member of the All Progressives Congress until he resigned from the party on 20th October 2018 and went to pitch his tent with the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

The former Senator took to twitter to share his thoughts about the OBIdients as the Labour Party faithfuls are called.
In his tweet, he said:
“If you remove the supporters of the Labour Party from Nigeria’s political space, we will all have the peace and tranquillity we want and the tyranny we don’t want.”
