The dream of the Olympic Eagles to participate at the upcoming U-23 African Cup of Nations has been terminated by the Junior Syli Nationals of Guinea.
The Nigeria team lost 2 nil with goals from Algassime Bah whole netted the opening goal in the 62nd minute and Alseny Soumah finalised the triumph from a direct free kick.

The match which was played in Rabat, Morocco ensured the Guineas qualify at the expense of Nigeria with since the first leg ended in a goalless draw.
With the loss, the Eagles will also not qualify for the 2024 Olympics happening in Paris hence Guinea joins Ghana, Gabon, South Africa and Mali who won their games earlier in the day.
