She becomes the third Czech woman to win the ladies’ singles title, defeating Ons Jabeur 6-4, 6-4.

The Princess of Wales consoled the Wimbledon crowd favourite Ons Jabeur after her defeat in the women’s singles final.

The Tunisian star was defeated in the Grand Slam final for the second year running by Marketa Vondrousova.

With the win, Vondrousova becomes the second-lowest ranked player to reach the ladies’ singles final at Wimbledon since the WTA Rankings were introduced.

It would interest you to know that she has been playing tennis since she was 4 in the Czech Republic and after an injury, Nike chose to end a deal with her in 2022.

How Ons Jabeur Reacted To Her Loss

Reacting to her loss, Ons Jabeur reacted thus:

“I don’t know, it’s gonna be a tough day for me. I’m not gonna give up. I’m gonna come back stronger & win a Grand Slam one day.”
