The Cityzens lifted the Premier League and FA Cup to become the second English club to achieve the treble after their rivals, Manchester United did so in 1998/99.
Manchester City then become the sixth English team to win the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, after Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest – twice as many sides than any other nation (3 – Germany, Italy and Netherlands).
Pep Guardiola Records With The Champions League
The victory also ensured that Pep Guardiola became the first manager in European history to clinch two trebles.
Guardiola had the first one with Barcelona in 2009 and now with Manchester City in 2023.
