How It All Begins…
Weeks after making impressive marks in the Nigerian politics space, the Chairman of the 3rd force, Labour Party, is facing some internal wranglings especially with the National Chairman, Julius Abure.
Abure was accused by persons tagged by the party as “unknown faces” of inter-party activities hence the suspension.
Labour Party National Executive Reacts
The party through its National Secretary, Farouk Umar, said the persons seen in a video address the press are unknown to the party as they do not have them on their database.
“Our Party Constitution is clear on who can suspend and who cannot suspend the National Chairman. They should go and read the party constitution.
“It is only the National Convention that can suspend the National chairman of the Labour Party. It also must be through such a convention called for the purpose of the suspension of the National Chairman,” the statement read.
Labour Party Plea to Nigerians
The party thereby asked Nigerians to distance themselves from politicians who take pleasure in maligning political leaders, especially, politicians who are afraid of the rising profile of the National Chairman,
