The chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kogi State, Comrade (Elder) Joel Salifu Oyibo has been unveiled as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship candidate.
The announcement was made earlier in Lokoja by the outgoing Governor, Yahaya Bello.

Salifu in January has said teachers will decide who will lead the state in 2023 after the tenure of Governor Yahaya Bello.
In his words:
“The experience we have gone through has adequately prepared us to decide who will lead us in Kogi State in 2023, particularly with our population.
“The voices of teachers in the state would be heard loud and clear using the 2023 general elections.”

Ahmed Usman-Ododo is the governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State for the November 2023 Elections.
He was announced by Patrick Obahiagbon, the secretary of the Kogi APC Primary Election Committee in April.
Usman-Ododo scored 78, 704 votes to beat six other contestants.
