Following the recent announcement from Gbenga Daniel to stop the Ogun State Government from paying him pensions, NewStori can confirm that at least 13 former governors still receive this allowances.
These senators have not decided amidst calls from Nigerians to cut the cost of governance by stopping the payment.

Top of this is the Senate president, Godswill Akpabio who has had the opportunity to serve as a governor, minster and now back to the Senate where he had also been and was at some point the minority leader.
