The opening match for the Super Falcons at the 2023 FIFA World Cup has ended in a goalless draw as the Canadian ladies had their penalty saved by goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
How The Match Went
Christine Sinclair was denied the chance of scoring at a sixth World Cup as the 22 year old Nigerian goal keeper saved her penalty while Deborah Abiodun was sent off late on in the match.
The Nigeria’s Super Falcons captain for the day was voted the player of the match played against the Olympic Champions, Canada, at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
