Less than one week after the death of doctor Vware Diaso at the General Hospital on Lagos Island, three persons have been arrested in connection to her demise.
Identity of the Persons Arrested for the Elevator Crash Leading to Dr. Vware Diaso
According to the Spokesperson of he Nigeria Police Force in Lagos State, Benjamin Hundeyin, the police had begun investigation into the matter and the identity of the arrested persons are not revealed to the public yet.
Hundeyin confirmed this in an update on Saturday while he spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
How Dr. Vware Diaso Was Killed in The Elevator Crash
A faulty elevator at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos had claimed the life Vware Diaso, who was working at the facility.
The hospital elevator that killed the late Diaso crashed from the 10th floor to the ground floor.
The incident had happened on Wednesday evening when the deceased wanted to meet a dispatch rider who had brought her the food she earlier ordered online.
Late Diaso is said to be living on the 9th floor of the building and was rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital for treatment but eventually died from the incident.
Background of the Late Vware Diaso
The deceased is a graduate of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo in Ogun State.
She was undergoing her mandatory one-year internship programme at the hospital and had less than two weeks to complete the programme when the tragedy happened.
Turnout of Events and the Lagos State Government Reactions
The elevator had reportedly malfunctioned several times before the incident, but serious attention was not given to it by the hospital management despite the fact that complaints were made for over 6 years.
On his part, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has vowed to get to the root of the doctor’s death through thorough investigation hence a panel was raised and the report is being awaited on the matter.
