A baseball team from Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, RAK Angels, has commenced their 2023 West African Little League campaign today, Monday, 10th April, at Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos State.
How The Team Will Participate at the West African Tournament
The team will have to navigate games against West African counterparts from Togo, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic and Burkina Faso to qualify and participate at the Euro-African Tournament and World Series in Poland and Pennsylvania, USA respectively.

The team is sponsored by the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende who is also the pioneer of Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation.
What Ogunlende Thinks of the Team
In a brief chat with the media, the special adviser said;
“We must strive towards real development from all angles; top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top. As you can see, we are catching these crop of talents young and the aim is to help them go as far as possible.
“Ultimately, we must begin to deliberately explore other avenues in addition to the popular ones so that the scope can be wider in our quest for true development.
“The feedback from the coaching crew has been very good and we are optimistic the girls will make us proud”.
