Contrary to what has bee trending online on the disagreement between comedians – AY Makun and Basketmouth, AY has shared the full video to correct the wrong impression so far made of him.
What Had Happened…
Both industry colleagues have not been best of friends over a disagreement on the sum of ₦30,000 since 2006.
The case recently had been retold as if it were new hence leaving many to wonder why such meagre amount would have been an issue between both perceived to be A list comedians.
Recently in a podcast, Basketmouth had downplayed AY calling him names and also claimed he’s not his friend neither do they have any picture online together as well.
Twists and Turns on The Matter
Baffled at how the whole experience had been narrated, AY Makun took to his Instagram account to correct the impression about a short rendition he made at his show.
A cropped section of the entire delivery had only showed where AY sang and labelled Basketmouth as ika while rendering the musician, Portable, song.
Most blogs has however showcased AY as beefing Basketmouth in the clips rather than narrate how he was comparing how beef had been citing examples of Tupac and Biggie; 50 Cent and Ja Rule beef even Peter and Paul of the P Square twin group.
AY Makun in his show could not also imagine a day when his daughter came back from school and was displeased with his actions hence querying him how urgent he needs his 30k so she can pay him back.
On his part, AY would rather want Basketmouth to react if they’re really beefing each other and buy all his VVIP seats and be the only sitting there as 50 Cent did when he was the only at the front row when Ja Rule had his concert while others who paid will then occupy the regular seats.
